Thankfullness Day #5

I am thankful that my children can see the positive during times of struggle and adversity. In the midst of injury I am amazed by little Abigail, she handled everything today so well. 3 buckle fractures, pain that is associated with that and she still kept her sense of humor! She is resilient! She even gave me permission to take pictures! Bless her!! Holding my left hand to squeeze when it hurt, I carefully took pictures with my right hand, difficult? Not too much! But my left hand is still throbbing, LOL!!

The cast after it set, all ready to be signed!

I am also thankful that I have understanding co-workers and bosses. I bolted out the door yesterday when this all occurred, got there in time to still hear her cries of pain and despair. Today I was able to take off to be with her while she got her cast put on, took her get markers and made a few stops before lunch.

The church: had to have Pastor Rick sign the cast!! He was number 3, mom and dad had to sign it first! To the school: we were going to leave her but she wasn’t feeling too good and of course we weren’t going to make her go! And many teachers signed her cast.

The cast signed and designed! Madelynne's toes are a nice touch in the picture don't you think?

The FINALLY lunch, her choice, Burger King and to meet David’s parents too; they too signed the cast. With as little as her cast is, not many people can sign it, but now there isn’t much room and apparently she is being particular who signs it. Not even sure the siblings were extended the invitation.

I am thankful that our children are resilient and that they have kept their sense of humor in adverse situations, and also thankful for those that I work for and with at the library!

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.- Colossians 3:15

This is the first time your blog has shown up as updated in weeks. Wonder why?

Anyway - she's a little trooper!
