Thankfullness Day #6

Wow I am impressed with myself thus far, I have posted 6 days straight and I pray that I continue to be this diligent. But no pats on my back for me, that just doesn't seem right to be boastful. I have had some thoughts on my mind for some time now and I thought I would put them down for all to see...

Does God really allow us, His people, to be burdened beyond what we're able to bear? The ole saying goes God doesn't give us more than we can bare, and then a resposnse to that could be, I just wish he wouldn't trust us so much! But in 1 Coronthians 1:9, Paul wrote these very words in his second letter to the Corinthian church. He said, "We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life." Paul's difficulties were too much for him, just as they are too much for us at times or all the time. Just depends on our perspective of the situation. If God doesn't give more than a person can bear, He certainly would not have excessively overburdened the apostle Paul, would He?

Our family friends and church family have all been hit hard with difficult times and it is how we act, how we handle our situations that in some way help others become stronger and mindful to handle their situations as well.

We are all like Paul most days, we are in our own prison of everyday life where we feel like we just may never get ahead, find ourselves asking why instead of listening to God and moving on and handling the situation; most of us have found ourselves in situations where like Paul we want to find a way out for us or the people that are hurting or need help.

But know this that God is there for you, He is there for all of us. There is one small passage that I keep telling myself and I have used it in a previous post but is worthy of repeating....

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7 -- Humbly obey God regardless of present circumstances, and in his good time-either in this life or the next – He will life you up. Don’t submit to circumstances, but to the Lord who controls circumstances

Stop and pray for someone today; for that someone who was just diagnosed; for that loved one lying in the hospital; the loved one that just went to Heaven to dance with Jesus; for that special someone who is on the mend; for people traveling; for individuals to know God; for that person who needs employment; and the list goes one.

Turn your 'bad or unfortunate issue or experience' into a positive one and be thankful in the issue and situation at all times.
