Well…. Sigh…. Ok…. Alrighty then!

*** WARNING - This will look very similar to an email I sent out to some people today!

I saw the cardiologist this morning. Very personable and knowledgeable (thank goodness) and at least he only said “that’s weird” once! But said that he feels that the symptoms I am having sounds like 3 specific things. All TREATABLE but not curable, which I can LIVE with! Just as long as we can get to a diagnosis with a manageable solution!

I had an EKG done this morning in his office and then was sent off to have an echo cardiogram, then I was wired up with a heart monitor for 24 hours. Was told to go home or work and live life as 'normal' as possible! And to log my symptoms with the time on the monitor so they can go back and correspond the times with the readings. So I went to work today, and so far normalcy is NOT what is going on at our house tonight. The boys are having a sleep over at their grandparents house along with one of their cousins and the girls are at church tonight for a few hours. And I'm going out to shop for food, how normal is that? But I did go to work after my appointment, I mean he said to go and be normal! The rest not so much, LOL!

But...... here is the Whammy! I am not allowed to drive until Nov. 4th. Achem, well apparently it is a law here (still trying to verify) that if a person/patient passes out they are not allowed to drive for 6 months. I knew that seizure patients couldn’t drive for 12 months after an attack – so right now I am not allowed to drive. If I chose to drive and had an accident then my family and treating physicians are liable for my actions. Which means when I go conference in six weeks I won’t have the rental car like I had planned.

Monday night I go in for a sleep study, which was scheduled earlier, and I will have those results Tuesday morning before I leave the facility. The cardiologist said to keep the appointment, probably not anything there to worry about but since it is scheduled and it's a diagnostic tool, it will rule other things out, so I'm keeping the appointment.

So in a nutshell there is the update, more will follow in the next few weeks as results come in! After 2-1/2 months of this fishing expedition we're finally getting somewhere.
