A while ago we came across a show called 'The F Word' which is one of Gordon Ramsey's food shows. This one we really like because they cook not just a full meal, but he ends up cooking several others so we get about 6-8 recipes out of one show. When we saw this one we thought, we can do that, but with a few modifications. And we did, so here it is!!!!
What you need:
* 1 pork roll
* 12 slices of cooked bacon - chopped in food processor (about a cup)
* 2-3 cups of cooked turkey meat
* 6-8 uncooked slices of bacon
* Olive oil
* Garlic salt
* Pepper
1. Cut the pork roll - so that when it is rolled back up it looks like a log.
2. Olive oil, garlic salt, pepper
3. Spread the olive oil around before putting the strips of bacon down.
4. Chopped in the food processor, cooked bacon.
5. Pan the bacon was cooked in gently wiped out. Cooked turkey meat.
6. Spread the bacon all over the cut pork roll.
7. Spread the cooked turley meat over the bacon.
8. Roll the pork roll back up (carefully) and lay on the bacon.
9. Roll up tightly in foil, we had to double wrap. (had the wrong sized foil)
10. Poach for 25-30 minutes. Make sure the water is already boiling before putting the roll in the water.
11. After the meat had been poached, keep in foil let cool for about 10-15 min then cool in the fridge for about an hour. We chilled ours for 3 hours.
12. Unroll (carefully) and put into a hot pan and cook until bacon is brown and crisp.
13. When the bacon is brown and crisp take out and let it rest for about 5 min before cutting.
14. The FINAL - YUM.............
The finished product!!
