Christmas Traditions

Traditions .... Many families have them during the holidays and our family is no exception. Although we didn't really get into the holiday spirit of decorating for the holidays at our house, we surely stuck to a few traditions that we do each year.

One of the grand kids has read the story of Jesus' birth at our annual gathering at the in-laws. This yer my niece, P2, got the pleasure of reading Jesus' Birth in Bethlehem found in Luke 2:1-20.

In years past we have drawn names for Christmas, once the kids got older we changed that to taking the kids to the movies for Christmas, a few weeks ago we changed it up once again. This year we all brought a gift (under $10) and we played the Wright Christmas Story game. We had so much fun, although the kids really wanted to play dirty Santa. We'll see what next year holds.

Once we completed gifts we made our way to the courthouse for our annual walk-around to see the lights and to figure out what was added. We have done this since 2008.
