What a Saturday!!

So I'm trying to get back into a 'normal' daily routine, which is harder than it seems. I have obeyed the doctor (I know hard to believe) with the 'go to bed early and SLEEP'. So, since Tuesday I have had the television turned off between 9-10 (last night is was 11) and have slept until 6:30-7:30 each day, with having to get up in the middle of the night maybe once. (It's all those FLUIDS I'm having to force down my throat!). Anyway, so I have been somewhat rested. Between the rest and the medication that IS WORKING I have felt better and apprently it shows physically because people have mentioned that I have been looking better and rested.

So this morning I got up WAY before the kids, around 8ish and I was able to make the bed, put a few things away and then I thought - LAUNDRY! Well, I got BUSTED!! ALthough it took me 30 minutes to fold a small load of clothes I was busted by Madelynne who quickly scolded me and finished putting the clothes from the washer to the dryer and putting the last load of clothes in the wash. Well I tried and partially succeeded in doing something on my own.

This afternoon the whole family went to my in-laws to do the following:
1. Watch the USA vs. Ghana futbol game

I had predicted Ghana to beat the USA, this does NOT make me unpatriotic, USA played their hearts out, but Ghana is still the better team. The two teams played the full regulation game and since they were tied at 1-1. Since these games are the quarter finals if the game ends in a tie they play an extra 30 minutes of 'overtime' so to speak and if the game is still tied then they have a shoot out. At the end of the 30 min. 'overtime', Ghana won 2-1. Ghana advances to play Uruguay July 2nd.

2. The kids could swim

The kids swam until they were just too tired to swim anymore. They didn't swim long before they had dried off, changed and were comfortably sitting or laying on a bed ot couch relaxing and in some cases dozing off.

3. Eat

We provided the tortillas and David's mom (bless her) fixed and prepared everything for tacos. It was all delish!

4. Plan and plot our vacation that we WILL be taking in a few weeks

So after much discussion we have planned to hit 6 major cities during our vacation:

I know it's going to be a fantastic trip and tiring too, but so worth it! Our next get together this week we will be discussing which attractions we will have time to do so tickets can be purchased in advance. But we already have at least 1-2 things/places that are MUST see's in each city. I can't wait!!

So this is the map that we did through MapQuest that hits all the major cities we plan to go to. I thought it was interesting that without counting the 'in town' driving of these places that the highway driving time is a little over 2.5 days and the miles, oh my. I wonder, does this mean that I will need to have my oil changed while we're traveling? LOL
